Match Report

James Marshall and Damian Carson helped U.S maintain their 100% record in Division 2 and stayed on course for promotion as we beat promotion rivals Fareham & Crofton B by 40 runs in a top of the table clash.

After winning the toss and deciding to bat first, U.S posted a competitive total of 141 for 3 off the allotted 12 overs, James top scoring with 36*, Damian 25* and useful contributions from Wayne Spencer 16, Dom Carson 14 and Lee Carroll 13.

The Fareham Innings started and they quickly lost their first wicket when Wayne had the opening batsman caught off the wall by Dom. Fareham never really threatened the target and were helped along by some wayward bowling resulting in 35 extras top scoring for the opponents.

They lost 2 more wickets in their run chase which resulted in them finishing on 99 for 3 and giving U.S a comfortable 40 run victory.

With 3 games to go we are well placed to win promotion back to Division 1.
